How to Ship a Printhead Internationally
We receive printheads from 40+ countries. Here is what we recommend.
Step 1: Prepare the Printhead
- Drain excess ink gently with a lint-free cloth
- Cover the nozzle plate with original protective cap or lint-free cloth
- Seal the ink inlets with tape or silicone plugs
Step 2: Packaging
- Anti-static bag first (critical!)
- Bubble wrap — at least 2 layers
- Rigid box — never use padded envelopes
- Fill all gaps to prevent movement
Step 3: Shipping
Recommended: DHL Express, FedEx, UPS Customs: Declare as "Electronic Component for Repair" at $50-100 USDCommon Mistakes
- No anti-static protection — causes invisible electrical damage
- Only bubble mailer, no rigid box — printheads arrive cracked
- Not draining ink — causes mess and damage
